Barron Bixler

Principal / Lead Strategist / Creative Director

Before founding Bixler Communications Group in early 2008, Barron had already established a reputation as an up-and-coming marketing leader in healthcare, insurance services and technology.

With extensive experience as both an in-house corporate marketing director and an independent marketing consultant, Barron understands client-side challenges and works closely with our cleints to develop project strategies that translate into immediate, sustainable and measurable results.

Barron shifts comfortably among the many roles our clients ask him to serve, from pitching a new brand strategy to a client's board to managing projects—and client staff—with a close eye on timeline and budget. Whatever the need, he is the client's chief advocate.

Barron holds an MA in English from the University of Victoria.

Allison Carruth

Editorial Director

Allison's role on the team is messaging strategist and wordsmith. She brings to Bixler Communications Group twelve years of combined experience in management consulting, editing and writing instruction.

As a consultant for Ernst & Young's strategic consulting group in the late nineties, Allison worked on brand and marketing projects for Fortune 500 companies. She moved next to a green land development company, where she managed the pre-development phase and developed business plans to secure funding for new projects. Allison then turned her energy to graduate school, completing an MA and PhD in English at Stanford University with a specialty in environmental writing and literature. 

This unique career path allows Allison to offer clients not only her editing and writing talents but also a familiarity with a wide range of industries as well as specialized expertise in arts education, environment and green business.

Charlie Walter

Art Director / Print + Interactive Designer

As a designer and graphic artist, Charlie has done it all. He began his career working for the auction house Butterfield & Butterfield where he ran the catalog design department and was involved in strategizing the organization's transition from analog to digital photography. He then worked as a print and interactive designer for the award-winning ad agency Grant, Scott & Hurley where his skills were valued by clients such as Noah's Bagels, The San Francisco Chronicle, California Pizza Kitchen, PG&E, Infineon Raceway and Constellation Wines.

Since leaving Grant, Scott & Hurley, Charlie has become a key member of the Bixler Communications Group creative team, and has been instrumental in developing compelling visual communication strategies for our clients. Specifically, Charlie is involved in logo and brand identity development, print design for ads, brochures, catalogs and other materials, and website and interactive design.

Charlie holds a BA in Studio Arts and a minor in English from UC Davis, with a specific focus on color theory, photography, sculpture and type.
